David Kostap
David Kostap is a Latvian enthusiast photographer and a visual artist living in Malta for the past 14 years.
His visual art and photography journey began right after he came to Malta and was actually inspired by the strong contrasting character and Mediterranean beauty of Maltese islands.
David takes a lot of inspiration in the play of light and shadows on the streets and in architecture. Thankfully, as he says himself, plenty of harsh shadows and contrast can be found on Maltese streets at almost any day of the year.

After more than 10 years of mobile, street, architecture and still life photography as a hobby, David started to incorporate his own photographs into pop-art and retro collage creations for the Malta-inspired visual art project called “Other Malta”.
