Jessica De Mers

Jessica DeMers is a creative entrepreneur with a profound interest in dance, painting, music, fiber art, travel and anything that involves the visual and creative arts. Jessica studied at the University of Finlandia in the USA, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual concentration in fiber and fine art.

 

Her enthusiasm for creativity is expressed in the different movements and materials explored throughout her work. She draws inspiration from nature, lore, personal trauma & exploring different cultures and experiences from living around the globe.

 

Jessica actively participates in the Maltese art scene, being involved as a member of the MSA, collective art exhibitions as well as nude modelling with local art groups and professional artists.

 

DeMers has exhibited in the USA, Japan, England, China and Malta. She has been based in Malta since March 2021.

 

Her current body of work includes the theme of mortality and the urgency of using precious life wisely.
